Syðri-Hagi offers accomodation in an all year around cottage in Árskogsströnd.
The cottage is 25 square meters, built 2016 - 2017. The cottage has one bedroom with two beds (2 beds*90 cm. Possible to push the beds toghether as a double bed). Also there is a sleepingcouch for two in the livingroom. In the kitchen there is a refridgerator with a small freezer, stove, owen with microwave function. Facilities for four persons. There is also a TV in the cottage. On the terrace there is a hot tub and a gas grill There is no washing machine in the cottage but it's possible to get your laundry washed at the farm for a small fee.

The cottage is in a peaceful place on the land of farm Syðri-Hagi with lovely ocean views. Located on the western shore of Eyjafjörður in north Iceland. You can explore the majestic mountain ranges and welcoming valleys, either by car or on foot.
In wintertime Aurora lights can frequently be seen from the cottage on clear and crisp nights. There are also many good skiing areas within easy reach.
Things to do If you are looking for something more to do than just relax in a calm and beutiful environment there is lots of things to do and see in the next surrounding, for instance:
Hiking: In the small forest on the hills above the cottage, Kötlufjall (the mountain above), in Þorvaldsdalur and Svarfaðardalur (Valleys nearby)
At Sydri-Hagi has been accommodation since 1982.
There is 2 cottages for rent. And are located in a peaceful area at the abandoned farm Gata. At Syðri-Hagi farm are mainly sheep and goats, but also rabbits.
Syðri-Hagi is in the north Iceland in Eyjafjörð, 15 km from Dalvík and 28 km from Akureyri, the road no. 82 (Ólafsfjarðar road).
If you will be tired of lying on the sofa and enjoy the beautiful view, there is a lot of things you can do in the neighbourhood. Hiking; tree planting area, Katla mountain, Hrossatjörn , Þorvaldsdalur Watch the animals at the farm.
At Dalvík (15 km) you can find : District museum.
In Siglufjörður (49 km) you can find :a Herring museum and The folk music centre .
Swimming pools are at: Dalvík (15 km), Þelamörk (19 km), Hrafnagili (41 km), Hrísey (7 km +ferry), Akureyri (28 km), Ólafsfirði (32 km) and Siglufirði (49 km).
A Hiking week is yearly in the neighborhood and the big Fish festival in the second weekend in August.
